Government ordered 7% increase of DA & DR to State Govt. Employees and Pensioners

In Government have ordered 7% increase in Dearness Allowance to the State Government Employees and to the Teachers coming under UGC/AICTE/Medical Education Schemes and 7% increase in Dearness Relief to the State Government Pensioners and Family Pensioners including those coming under UGC/AICTE/Medical Education Schemes with effect from 01/07/2008.

The revised DA (additional 7%) will be paid in cash with the salary due for the month of January 2009 onwards. The arrear for the period from 01/07/2008 to 31/12/2008 will be drawn and credited to the PF account of the employee along with the salary bill for the month of January 2009 to July 2009.

The revised Dearness Relief due from 01/07/2008 @ 7% along with the arrears up to January 2009 will be released in cash along with the pension of February 2009 (due on 1st February).

In Circular No.4/2009/Fin dated 20/01/2009, Government have also communicated the authorization of the Accountant General, Kerala for the payment of Dearness Relief to the Pensioners.
